Terms of Use

PROGA ROLLERSKI

Proga rollerskis with brakes are pushing the limits of what is possible in rollerskising, especially from a safety perspective. These are the first rollerskis on the market that allow effective braking and speed control. Trigger mechanism of the Proga braking system is patented. The patent is managed by the company SKITTI, d.o.o., and is hereinafter referred to as the manufacturer or Proga service.

USE

The Proga rollerskis are intended for training in skating and double poling technique. It enables safe stopping on flat sections and speed adjust ment on descents. Before the first use of rollerskis, be sure to remove the safety spacer between the brake and the rear wheel. The spacer also serves as a tool for factory brake adjustment. For effective braking, the position of the foot (heel of the skiing boot) on the rollerskis is extremely important. The foot should be placed just behind the axle through which the aluminium plate is attached to the frame of rollerskis.

WARRANTY

The warranty is only valid when the rollerskis are used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Any improper handling or failure to observe the warnings may result in the loss of the warranty. Brake or wheel wear is not covered by the warranty. Mechanical damage to the frame or other components caused by the use of the rollerskis is not covered by the warranty.

AGE RESTRICTION OF THE USER

Due to liability in the event of injury or material damage, the minimum age of the user is 14 years or older. The use of rollerskis for children under 14 must be accompanied by: parents, teachers, coaches or another competent person. If the legislation of the respective country of the user specifies different restrictions, only these must be considered.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The manufacturer is not responsible for injuries to persons, animals or material damage that may occur as a result of using the rollerskis.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER STORAGE

The rollerskis should be stored in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not expose the rollerskis to extreme temperature conditions, as this can negatively affect the performance of the brakes and the durability of the materials.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

All repairs and replacement of rollerskis parts must be done at an authorized service centre. Any tampering with the mechanism or structure of the rollerskis by unauthorized persons may lead to loss of warranty and unpredictable malfunctions. All screws on the rollerskis are attached with a special coating that prevents spontaneous loosening.

WARNINGS ABOUT POSSIBLE INJURIES

Failure to follow instructions may result in injury to the user, including frac tures, abrasions, and other serious bodily injury. To ensure the safety and long life of the product, it is necessary to follow the provided instructions and warnings.

MAXIMUM PERMITTED SPEED

The maximum permitted driving speed is 25 km/h. Driving at higher speeds can reduce braking effectiveness and increase the risk of injury to the user. Rollerskis are intended exclusively for use on specially prepared polygons and is not suitable for usage in road traffic, unless otherwise defined in the road traffic regulations of the respective country of the user.

WEIGHT OF THE USER

The maximum permitted weight of the user is 120 kg. Exceeding this limit can cause damage to the rollerskis structure, reduced stability and ineffective braking, which can lead to injury to the user.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

When using rollerskis, it is mandatory to use protective equipment, which includes: Helmet recommended according to standard EN 1078, Knee and elbow protectors, standard EN 14120, Gloves with good grip. Failure to use protective equipment increases the risk of serious injury in the event of falls or accidents.

SLOPE OF THE POLYGON

Permitted driving on polygons with a maximum slope of up to 10 %. Note that driving on steeper grades increases brake wear and the risk of brake system failure, which can lead to an accident.

REVERSING PROHIBITED

Reverse riding is strictly prohibited as it is not intended for safe use on this rollerskis. This type of use can lead to unforeseen situations and injuries to the user or third parties.

BRAKING

Braking must be done at intervals. The longest continuous braking interval is 1 minute. You should brake in alternating intervals with the left and right foot. Excessive use of the brake can cause the brake system to overheat and result in brake failure. Check that the brake system is in perfect condition before each use. The brake can be adjusted with the brake adjustment nut (F-bolt). Make sure the brake is properly adjusted before you start using it (driving).

PROPER MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTIONS

Before each use of the rollerskis it is necessary to:
- Check the integrity of all main components: wheels, brakes, rollerskis plates, bearings, screws.
- Check the wheels and brake linings for possible wear. In case of wear or dam age, the parts must be replaced at an authorized Proga service center.
- Regularly check the tension of the screws and nuts and tighten them if necessary.

BASIS FOR USE

Use the rollerskis only on clean, dry and properly maintained surfaces. Driving on wet, slippery or dirty surfaces can cause a loss of grip, reduce stability and braking efficiency, which can lead to falls and injuries.

COMPLAINTS AND SERVICE

In case of technical problems or errors, contact an authorized service. Contact information for complaints: info@progarollerski.com. All parts of the rollerskis are changed exclusively at an authorized Proga service centre. Any tampering with the operation of the rollerskis by unauthorized persons may lead to the loss of the warranty and possible damage.

CLEANING THE ROLLERSKIS

Clean the rollerskis only with mild detergents and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or high-pressure cleaners, as this may damage the wheels, bearings or brake system.
